Production access

A government-issued RPID, not an API key

Production access is available only through a participating government's approved route. The authority reviews the organisation, issues a Relying Party Identifier (RPID) — a government-issued authorisation anchor, not a password or API key — and binds the organisation's permitted purposes, claims and client credentials. Registering an account or obtaining an API key is not sufficient.

1 · Apply

Register your organisation and request the purposes and claims you need. This creates an application and a sandbox account only.

2 · Sandbox

Integrate and pass conformance tests against the sandbox. No production verification occurs at this stage.

3 · Production

After government approval and RPID issuance, a second authorised officer activates production access. Every request then checks RPID status, client binding, purpose and claims.

Deploy the RP Gateway on your own infrastructure

Deploy the RP Gateway on your own infrastructure

Approved organisations run the RP Gateway locally. It enrols with the government-issued onboarding bundle and client certificate, validates each request against your approved RPID scope, and fails closed if the RPID, licence or route is not active. It never connects to a government's national identity source database.

Human agents each have an individual account with strong authentication; service clients authenticate cryptographically. Both are attributable and audited. The RPID identifies the organisation — it never authenticates a caller by itself.
